Conducting a Needs Assessment
The Assessment
A needs assessment was conducted over a five day period among 16 students to determine their level of knowledge regarding older adults, LGBT* individuals, and LGBT* older adults. This needs assessment included ten multiple choice and short answer questions.
Results and Implications
Results from this needs assessment demonstrate and support the need and importance of educating others, specifically future human service providers, on aging among LGBT* and non-LGBT* older adults. The content of this website was developed in consideration of the content or subject areas that individuals appeared to have limited knowledge of.
